Hotel Hospes Puerta de Alcalá

This is a wonderful hotel. Friendly and attentive staff. Fantastic breakfast. A very warm welcome on arrival. We had a standard room facing North on the top floor and it was amazingly quiet. Some very clever details like carpeted corridors, use of mirrors, Juliette balconies. Excellent breakfast. The location is great for visiting the main sites with the Retiro gardens across the road and also close to super restaurants. My only criticism - the cost of Sangria at 12 euros/glass - stick to draught beer here!

We stayed 5 nights at the Puerta de Alcala hotel in Madrid. We found it to be well located, clean and beautifully decorated. The staff at the front desk, Laura, Manuel and Ruben, were helpful, polite and pleasant to deal with as well as professional. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The food looked very fancy but was a disappointment after all. The meals are all very pricey and also very small. You’ll need two main courses in order to be full. The tapas were not good either, either too cooked or bad tasting. The staff is very friendly.

[SPA] We tried the spa and massage with my girlfriend, it was an amazing experience, the pool is amazing, we had the 30 minutes massage The only downside is that you can not do the massages at the same time but the other person can wait at the pool meanwhile so it’s nice. Thank you very much, we’ll come back
