The Wilder Townhouse

The impact of this hotel

The Wilder Townhouse embraces sustainability with a partnership with the Dublin Honeybee Project.Current owners Frankie & Josephine Whelehan purchased the property in 2016 and gave it a new life as The Wilder Townhouse in 2018. Following that, in 2020, the Whelehan’s partnered with the Dublin Honeybee Project, an organization with sustainable goals to create a “buzz” around Dublin. The Wilder’s partnership with the project has allowed the hotel to increase its eco-friendly habits by raising honeybees. The hotel raises honeybees to support environmental conservation, offering eco-friendly cuisines sourced locally. Wilder Bees' honey enhances the restaurant's menu, contributing to a delicious and sustainable dining experience.

Could not say enough good things about The Wilder. Beautiful hotel. Gorgeous and well maintained grounds. Incredible staff We were greeted by Maraya and Clara at the reception every day during our stay. Incredibly professional and courteous. They were there and willing to help all my needs and answer all questions. The rooms are stunning. Very well appointed. Strong showers. Great air conditioning. The food is out of this world. Everything was delightful from the check in to checkout. Highly recommend this as its walking distance from all Dublin City center but also in a quieter spot in town.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at The Wilder Townhouse in Dublin, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment we walked through the door, we were struck by the stylish and elegant decor and the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms at The Wilder Townhouse are beautifully designed and incredibly comfortable, with plush beds, luxurious linens, and all the amenities you could ask for. But what really sets this hotel apart is the incredible attention to detail and the personalized touches that make you feel right at home. The staff at The Wilder Townhouse are also fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. Whether you need recommendations for things to do in Dublin or help with any of your travel needs, they are always there to help. Finally, the location of the hotel is perfect - it's situated in a quiet and leafy neighborhood just a short walk from Dublin's city center, so you get the best of both worlds: a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle, but still close enough to all the sights and attractions. Overall, I would highly recommend The Wilder Townhouse to anyone visiting Dublin. It truly is a five-star hotel in every sense of the word, and I can't wait to return for another stay!

We stayed at the Wilder for two nights in early January 2023. We had the smallest room- which I understand is recommend for only one person, but for just two nights the size was fine for two people. However, I was incredibly disappointed in the bed. It was one of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept in (room 311), and as a result completely ruined our time in Dublin. We were exhausted. I was also disappointed by the reception area and staff. Each time we walked by they simply looked at us, saying nothing. On our first night I asked the woman at the front desk if they had any dinner recommendations nearby. She seemed very confused by the question, and finally produced a packet of restaurants. However there was nowhere in the space for me to sit and look through the packet. The location and decor were nice.
