The Kensington Hotel

We went for this hotel to try their famous Afternoon Tea experience and it was definitely worth it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very yummy and the concept of the tea time there is based on the famous 80 days around the world story and the menu contains a collection of international tastes. Make sure to reserve before you go.

The hotel is incredible beautiful, the staff super good and for sure you will have good service. The cocktail bar is super charming, cozy and with great atmosphere. I highly recommend the afternoon tea with a good group of friends is delicious, well served and fun.

This hotel is a pure scam. Indian lady at the reception was rude and barely communicating. Room was extremely tiny with very low ceiling and smelling moldy. It was overlooking a filthy backside with disturbing fan noise. Kindly asked them to change the room but they changed it to another room which was even dirtier than the one they gave me first. Not sure who operates and audits this, but even if you have to stay one night in London, think twice before choosing it as I couldn't bear to stay even until morning. I am not even talking about prices. It gives an impression that it should be a proper one but it doesn't even deserve 1 star with that extremely old and worn rooms. This was literally a robbery and I warn everyone not to book any room in this horrible hotel before seeing the room that you will stay there. Otherwise, they will treat you as they did to me and and steal your money for a disgusting place.

The Kensington. I went here for afternoon tea as one does when they are in London for the first time. The front door was opened for us. Staff led us to our table and helped us take our coats off, they also led us to the bathroom (which was spotless and pleasant).The staff were incredible at what they do. We received well thought out descriptions on the teas when we had further questions from the menu, and when they were serving said "my pleasure" the staff made it a one of a kind experience to be treated so well. That is what service should be like. The tea was very tasty, you do receive one refill for free and it does not need to be of the same tea as the previous. The actual food was delightful to look at but in actuality did not deliver on the "around the world" tastes. The desserts were the saving grace for flavor. All in all it was a grand experience that I'm happy to have.
