Relais Del Maro

Since some time we’ve discovered the small paradise of Relais del Maro at charming Borgomaro. We’ve visited now a few times already as it seems to us one of the most friendly places we know of. Elena and staff have been so enormously well taken care of us every time we come « home », all small details are well thought about. Elena provides information for hikes, touring the area, restaurants, local crafts companies as well as, wine producers, olive oil, cheeses and lots more! You find in her small homemade booklets enough information so you want to stay for a year to discover all of the local beautiful things, or you come back frequently! Animals are welcome as in no other place in the world, they get their own bed , little bowl and some nice cookies upon arrival! Afternoon tea is great as well as the aperitif and for lunch you better stay at the beautiful setting of the Relais! Breakfast is a buffet you’ve never seen before with everything you need and lots very creative items you’ve never had before at any place! Local products (0 km) You will soon feel home like us and you can’t wait to go back…. See you at small paradise Relais del Maro soon!

Two weary, disorganised travellers called requesting a last minute booking and were gladly received by gracious hosts Martina and Joy who made sure we were settled into our room and comfortable before heading home themselves (thank you to you both and the lady who took our call!) . Without even needing to ask they arranged a reservation at an amazing local osteria. Our diffuse room was charming and up several steps on the other side of the river to the main hotel building. Breakfast was excellent with good coffee and a both continental and cooked options. Sunday service church bells added to the ambience. Everyone spoke incredible English which made up for our appalling lack of Italian. Parking a little tricky in the village with a large vehicle, please pass on our apologies to your neighbours. Thank you so much for your hospitality, a rare find.

Relais del Maro is a true gem. Everything is perfect from the moment you arrive till you leave. It's a beautiful place staffed by wonderful people. They really do everything to make you feel at home. The breakfast buffet was simply amazing. We can't wait to come back.

Incredible aesthetics at this beautiful family run hotel. No details is forgotten. The breakfast is outstanding, the tea area is a work of art. Staff are very professional and very helpful to facilitate your stay in any way. Sadly we only stayed one night on our way from Turin, a great spot if you’re a hiker. Local restaurant we ate at was delicious as well right in the main square. congratulazioni ragazze per un risultato così meraviglioso!!!!!
