Hotel ILUNION Atrium

The impact of this hotel

The Ilunion Hotels are part of the ONCE Foundation for Cooperation and the Social Inclusion of the Disabled, which was founded in 1938 by a group of blind people who wanted to lift the blind and disabled from the sidelines and into the spotlight. With over 80,000 jobs created for the disabled, the foundation focuses on rehabilitation to overcome barriers. The foundation believes that everyone is entitled to enjoy tourism, which is why each hotel has an inclusive design that breaks down the physical barriers that would otherwise prevent people from enjoying the facilities. Ilunion, established in 1988, has 29 hotels where over 40% of the 1200+ employees have disabilities. This dedication to accessibility has made Ilunion a renowned player in the hospitality industry, showcasing a commitment to empowering people with disabilities and integration.

Good hotel Pros: Lovely entrance and main floor with a decent bar. Did not try the restaurant. Customer service was very good and helpful. Cons: Double bed was two single bed frames which is not ideal for couples. No coffee/tea/kettle machine. I felt the bathroom should have better shower creams. Overall a decent place to stay :)

Had a short break here and overall very pleased with the experience. The hotel itself is modern and well laid out with a gorgeous terrace perfect for drinks. The pool area is small but very clean and well kept. It doesn't open until 12pm so if you're planning a pool day, don't rush! The staff were excellent and I particularly enjoyed talking with Miguel about his time in Ireland! There are some nice restaurants nearby - The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the nearest metro and easy to get into central Madrid. There are many buses but we weren't feeling brave enough with our Spanish to use them! There were only a few issues - - not a very big selection for vegans at breakfast - the breakfast buffet gets incredibly crowded on weekends and can be difficult to navigate with so many people - a couple of chairs on the balcony in the superior rooms would be welcome - the shower cubicle is very slippy - a mat would help. - the extra large double bed seems to be 2 singles and have seen better days - it was like sleeping on a hill! Despite this I really enjoyed my stay and would stay again when in Madrid!

Nice hotel with modern design and big rooms. It has a small place for work with great wifi connection. The bar/hall was lovely with a chill atmosphere and great service. Adrian and the rest of the waiters working there did a great job treating everyone with great respect and professionalism

The hotel was more for business than holidays. Although the rooms were clean there was no kettle or tea and coffee. Very disappointed 😞 The beds were comfortable but the pillows were awful !! 😖 Didn't eat breakfast here as too expensive but a little bar at the end of the road with good coffee and much cheaper breakfast foods. Overall, I was very disappointed and would not stay here again.
