Hôtel Eggers

We were there in May on a Sunday night . Absolutely gorgeous hotel. Look at the hotel's gallery photos. Excellent service from staff. Our 2nd floor room overlooked the area by the Central station entrance and it was still quiet. Nice black out curtains. Bathroom had a large tub and shower and was all in white marble. Even had a towel warming rack. Location is great. Public transportation right outside the front door of hotel. And bike rental if you desired. Beds and linens were very comfortable. There was always free tea and coffee in the lobby area. And some chocolate candy 🍬. It is a historic building and they have done a great job keeping it up. It also has a lift (elevator) if you need it. The morning breakfast buffet is over the top! So many choices and so tasty. Loved the scrambled eggs. Of course there was bacon, sausages and salmon and cheeses , yogurts and lots of bread choices and juices. Even had omelets too. And it is included in the price of the room. There is a lovely botanical park nearby that is free to walk about. If you are in Gothenburg, this is the place to stay! Highly recommend !!

Thought I’d be fun to eat breakfast outside, went to Eggers cause I’ve read a lot of good about their breakfast. Unfortunately I’d have to say it was lacking. There wasn’t that much to choose between, it was your average breakfast. One thing I I did not enjoy was their drinks, they were really watery and tasted like nothing. Wished they had instructions on how to make the waffles.

Great location opposite train station. Old fashion in all senses, good most of them. Minivar, but no restaurant on Sunday.

Our stay was really nice! We booked package with dinner that was delicious,and we are extremely happy with service and all the friendly staff. Definitely gonna come back
