Hotel B!RGIT Berlin Mitte

Room fit our needs and budget and surpassed our expectations. Cozy rooms and indoor/outdoor seating and eating areas on ground floor, friendly helpful 24 hour staff, location in Prenzlauer Berg, heart of liveliest neighborhood of Berlin.

Unfortunately: don’t bother. I really tried to like this hotel. But unfortunately, this place is just not good. They present themselves as hip and modern, but there’s a reason there are no pictures of the bathrooms on the website! The bathroom in my room was old, chipped, and in serious need of renovation. I contacted them beforehand and asked for a room street side, preferably higher up to be away from noise. Even though the hotel was hardly fully booked, I was put in a room on the first floor, at the courtyard side, next to the elevator shaft. Beds rock hard, no complimentary bottle of water. The room doors squeek when opened and bang when closed. I hardly slept! Also the cleaning staff didn’t bother to keep it down a bit at 9 in the morning and be considerate of their (sleeping) guests. When checking out I wasn’t even asked how my stay was. Maybe they figured from my face I felt my stay was a waste of money: 150€ p/n. It’s sad though. Given the great location this hotel could be an absolute gem. But thorough renovation and hospitality training is long overdue here.

Amazing breakfast! The rooms are cozy and bright, no fridge.

Not great. Asked for a room with curtains, no one warned me that they would give a room with no curtains. Made me pay before I could see the room, asked for a refund and still have no news... I would avoid this hotel
