The hotel is lovely. It's in a great location (right opposite the station). Rooms are quiet and clean. There was a great choice for breakfast. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in Basel.

This is a great hotel. The reception desk employees were very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The rooms were very nice, clean, and comfortable, especially the bed. The breakfast buffet (pictures attached of the dinning area), included in the price, had a very good selection and the food was very good for a buffet. The lounge area was very comfortable (see picture). The train and trolly's were right outside the door, making it very easy to get around. Also, included in the price was a Basel card, which allowed us to use public transportation for free. It also provides discounts at various museums, etc...

I visited in the end of November. There were 6 of us, with 2 in each room. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left the customer service was outstanding. The front desk helped with whatever we needed. The rooms were lovely as well as the amenities. The breakfast was to die for. Close to the train station and the trams. I would highly recommend this place. You get what you pay for. First hotel of a 16 day trip and it set the bar high. No regrets !!

We picked this hotel for it's location, opposite Basel train station and a short tram ride to the city centre, so pleased we did! One of the most helpful, friendly hotels we have stayed in, exceptionally clean and comfortable and a beautiful room. I have seen other reviews mentioning the breakfast and it should have been a little more varied, we couldn't fault it at all! Exceptional quality and plenty of choice. Thank you to all at the Gaia Hotel for a wonderful week, we will be returning!
