Zoku Copenhagen

Fantastic hotel! The room was very beautiful and well equipped. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The roof area is the most beautiful part, with amazing views, great decoration and style. Co work and relaxing spaces are available there too. Breakfast was very generous and delicious. The area is very nice, there is a supermarket next to the hotel and a parking area very close as well. Great place! Thanks a lot :)

I stayed in a loft apartment, which was very comfortable, and made the maximum use of the space available. There was plenty of room for all my things. The presence of a safe was very welcome; I don't think this was mentioned in the online information about available facilities in the room. Some of the artwork decorating my room was not to my taste, so I appreciated being able to swap pieces. That sort of detail - along with inclusion of some stationery in the room, a loose throw for the sofa, and so on - added to the feeling that guests were being well looked after. The carpet in the hall, with its mock paving/shadows was hugely amusing, and at the same time, stylish. The shower was frankly, magnificent. It was set to just the right temperature and was a pleasure to use. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful at every stage of my visit. The fifth floor social areas were welcoming, and the many nooks and crannies prevented it ever feeling too busy. There were a lot of options at breakfast, and the breakfast seating area was light and airy. There is a supermarket on the ground floor of the same building - and another near the metro, which could not be more convenient. The area around the hotel was very quiet (a good thing in my eyes), but at the same time felt very clean and safe. The metro itself is only a couple of minutes walk from the building, with trains coming every few minutes, so the location was excellent. This is a very good option if coming to Copenhagen, and compared to other hotel-apartments, reasonably priced. While it may look a bit out of the way on a map, in reality the metro works so well, it was not an inconvenience - and the metro ride from the airport was very straightforward. It is in walking distance of the south Campus of the University of Copenhagen.

Recommend but room for improvement! We stayed at this hotel for three nights in total and had an enjoyable experience. The rooms are small but very stylish and very clean. The rooftop is gorgeous. The location is great given the hotel is right next to the metro, allowing you to travel to the city center in 10 min. One downside: The staff. Unfortunately the staff seems highly uncoordinated and not very service-oriented. When checking in, the girl working the check in desk asked us for how many rooms and when I said 1 made a big sigh and said "Oh, thank God. Just one". Clearly not very keen to work. When I asked her about the availability of a gym she said "no" and then we could "look together online" - should she not know this? When we wanted extra pillows and could not find any in the communal pantry I called the concierge and was told that "We are full so if there are no pillows, there are no pillows". We had dinner one night with two different parties and when asking whether we could split the bill, had the staff tell us to just have one person pay and then we sort this out amongst ourselves to not have her endure this hassle. In all fairness, this was all one specific member of the staff so I do hope they revisit their hiring standards. There's a lot of potential here so it's a bit of a shame....

Superb all round experience and extremely good value! Great room, food and service. Room is really comfortable and is more of a suite, with a kitchen area and sofa. Enjoyed the novelty of the pull out stairs to get to the elevated bed. Breakfast was fresh and can recommend the sandwiches for lunch. A great place to relax and also work. Does all of the basics better than any hotel I have stayed in at this price (and much higher).
