Stopped over here on our travels for one night. Service from staff was impeccable! We travelled with our dog so I rang ahead to ask for room service, bar staff were fantastic and we were able to order ahead and give a time for food - paid when settled into the hotel and room allocated. Food was really delicious! Breakfast was delicious too and the full choice available from cooked to continental and all in between. Rooms were a little dated but very clean and very comfortable and plenty big enough for two adults and a large dog. Nice grounds to walk the dog as it's set within the university of Stirling campus. Extra charge for your pet £25 and dogs not allowed in eating areas but this suited us as we ate in the room & breakfast separately - hotel are happy for pets to be left in the rooms at your choice.

I visited with my family for the week and it was an amazing time! We all loved it and to be able to relax at the bar there was great! we met violet there and she made our experience so much better with her witty jokes and just all round ability to keep us laughing when she saw us. She was just an all round beacon of joy when we would walk in and always happy to conversate with all the customers! Would recommend this place to anyone that is thinking of staying in Stirling! Top Quality!

The property was advertised as dog friendly but this is not the case. Dogs are allowed in the rooms *only* disappointing after we had called the property ahead of our stay and this was not mentioned. We had to drink our drinks in the room as the bar did not accommodate a dog friendly section and we went to breakfast separately which was not ideal. Breakfast service was average, no pastries left, fruit and yoghurt wasn’t topped up so only one of our party enjoyed the scraps and there was no drinking glasses to enjoy our juice 🥲 the rooms were nice and clean and staff friendly, however.

A disappointing room that was cold and smelled like it needed a good airing. The bed (a small double) was uncomfortable - and the duvet was far too narrow for the bed, which led to one or other of us not being fully covered throughout the night. The bathroom looked tired, needed some repair work and desperately needs an extractor fan fitted. On the plus side the location is good, they served a very tasty buffet breakfast and the staff in the dining room were pleasant and helpful - this added a second star to what, otherwise, would only be a one star review.
