Hotel Apartamento da Sé

The staff are the best, they could not be more helpful. We had rented E-bikes for 4 days and they kindly let us store and charge them in the manager's office. The hotel is in a great part of town, 5 minutes walk to the Old City and 5 minutes to the water front. The rooms are comfortable and clean. There is a large buffet breakfast every morning which was good without being outstanding. Overall, I rate this hotel highly and can recommend it to my fellow travelers.

Excellent location. Very clean rooms and service. Breakfast food such as eggs, bacon, baked beans were not very hot. 3 of us booked 3 standard rooms at same time but they were all different. One was really small, second a little larger and the third was largest with large wardrobe/shelving space which the other 2 did not have. They had to hang their clothing on open hanger and open shelf because their rooms were so small, Only one room had safe, another had fridge. All three rooms were claustrophobic. We booked these rooms together at the same time but they were not all of the same standard and not all with same or any facilities and yet were all the same price which I feel is wrong. Excellent location but I will not want to stay here again. Can’t fault the cleanliness and helpful staff.

The hotel was perfect for us, in a great location - everything within easy reach, the staff were brilliant - genuinely welcoming and helpful (especially Fatima). The breakfasts were the best thing, everything you could possibly want and we could take as much time over it as we liked. We spent time in the lounge area and on the rooftop terrace, both were comfortable & relaxing surroundings. The bedrooms were well equipped, we made good use of the coffee maker (no milk provided but we asked at reception & they gave us some) and the shower was good. The only fault was a smell coming from the bathroom drains when entering the room. All in all a very enjoyable stay, we would be glad to return and to recommend it to others.

Really enjoyed our stay the only disappointment was the room with inward facing courtyard hence curtains permanently closed. We booked half board plus originally with the intention of eating a couple of times, however, the next door restaurant belonging to the hotel was brilliant, great service and the choice of food excellent plus a good selection of good quality wines reasonably priced The roof top terrace fantastic for relaxing in or out of the sun as well as a nice little bar. The location was spot on together with obliging helpful staff at every level. Breakfast was one of the best we have had with plenty of choice to suit everyone. Would we return, most certainly yes making sure we had an outward facing room.
