1231 reviewsThe neo-classic façade was all that was left of the old building where the Ohla Barcelona now sits, right at the heart of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. But this façade is now its most defining feature - treated by sculptor Frederic Amat who filled the side of the hotel’s exterior with pins topped with ceramic eyes, produced by Antoni Cumella, and positioned with immaculate precision.
Ohla Barcelona is not just an art haven but a sustainable haven. Committed to societal and environmental well-being, Ohla embraces the World Summit on Sustainable Development principles. Their dedication extends to supporting foundations like Mercè Fontanilles and promoting local products. CEO Benet Ferrer emphasizes a culture of warmth, wellness, and culture, making Ohla more than a hotel – an enriching experience

Our family of 5 stayed at the Ohla in early January 2023 and it was a fantastic experience all around . The reception staff was so welcoming and friendly, and the concierge was extremely helpful making dinner reservations and booking taxis. Our rooms were spotless and the cleaning staff kept us well stocked - we always had a special treat (chocolate or cookie) on our pillow each night when we returned to our room. The restaurant and bar staff were also exceptional. We enjoyed the daily buffet breakfast and evenings at the rooftop bar. Service was consistent throughout our stay, from the moment we walked in the door until our early morning departure with staff on hand to help us with our bags and to get a taxi. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend this hotel.

We loved this hotel! In the Gothic Quarter so very convenient. The staff was truly stellar. They went over the top making us feel welcome and appreciated. One of the most impressive guest relations that I have ever had including at very high end luxury hotels.

Ohla was Oohhhh La La! The hotel is in a vibrant area with lots of shopping and great areas to walk and see the history of the area. The staff was amazing. Our luggage was delayed two days and they offered to help in any way they could. They were always greeting us and asking how we were. Jenny, specifically, went out of her way to help us out. The breakfast was amazing. Lots of variety of pastries, meats, breads, and coffee. The rooftop bar restaurant is small but the views are beautiful. You'll get priority over the public to the rooftop as well. They have a Michelin Star restaurant as well but we didn't know so didn't get reservations early enough. Ohla Barcelona is a "Highly Recommend".

Located in the heart of the center which pleases you with spectacular views. Overall the stay was good but we expected much more from a 5 star hotel. The rooms were clean and tidy and the staff was very attentive. But there are few details that made me give 3 stars. First is the breakfast, honestly it was so poor that I’ve seen this kind of breakfast only in 3 star hotel. Absolutely unacceptable. You would expect at least if you haven’t liked anything that the staff would kindly ask you if you would like an omelette or coffee, but, no… The second part was the pool, it’s very nice and all. But it’s a hotel so you would expect some beach beds to chill on the pool. But it’s mostly like a bar with chairs.
