Hotel Berlin, Berlin, a member of Radisson Individuals

The hotel lobby and general amenities are lovely, but the rooms lacked in anything special for a four star hotel. Bit confused with the digital check in, which was useless. I had to check in online before coming, and then check in again at the self service entrance, then had to remember my 4 number room to the go to the actual check in desk to pick up my key card and also check in the second guest. Bit of a waste of checking in. Also the online check out didn't work so I had to check out again at the self service desk. I did appreciate the shop downstairs, very handy, but was disappointed that the room didn't have anything in it. There was a coffee machine, but no creamer/milk, no glasses for cold drinks (only coffee cup). So when I went to get a wine downstairs from the shop, I had to queue up at the bar for a glass (which was busy because they host shows there) The room was clean, bed was comfortable. There were no towel hooks in the bathroom? I complained about a broken window lock in my first room (could hear outdoor noise and feel a draft) so they relocated me straight away. Pros -clean comfy room -hotel shop -nice service Cons -room lacking in a few things for a four star hotel -had to online/self check in three different ways, so quite useless I probably would have given four star review if it was not dressed up to be a fancy 4-star high range hotel. It's pretty average to me. 3 stars is most accurate.

Excellent place, the staff was very friendly. My family really enjoyed the breakfast and the restaurant below had a very good selection. Walking distance to the touring big bus stop, and to the metro. The room amenities were perfect with bunk beds for the kids made the stay much easier. Parking was expensive, that would be my only negative

The good things: Excellent breakfast, clean hotel, great location, there is a bus station just in front of the hotel which was very convenient especially line 100 :) . The bad things: We took a room for three adults. overall was good, but the fridge was broken and it was critical to us because we had medicine, so it was the reason we chose this hotel from the first place, the maintenance man tried to help and replaced it with another fridge but it still didn’t work. Another thing was that the room had only one mirror in the bathroom so it was problematic for us three women in the morning and it took us more time to get ready.

Wish I could give 0 stars. On the top of my list, the wifi is ATROCIOUS and does not work at all in your room. I couldn’t even use my 4g in bed because the reception was so bad. I thought I was staying in the mountains. Right frm the get go, check in took forever and we were just left waiting. Was told that the housekeeping needs to check the room though it has been cleaned after a long wait so we continued to wait. When we entered the room, there weren’t even sufficient towels for all 3 of us staying in the room and there was toilet paper strewn in the corner of the room. What were they even checking???? Housekeeping also never refilled our soap throughout our week long stay, towels were constantly short of 1 and we had to go to the lobby to get everything ourselves, of which they ended up not even providing us with our requests like soap and a towel. At one point, they even told us we had to wait till the next day for our requested items, which included a blanket for 1 of us because they only gave 2. Only saving grace of this hotel is the size of the room. Worst part of my trip.
