Good location in the city centre. Kind of art hotel. A bit different decorated but like it. The rooms were clean and cozy. In room 54 the foldable worktable was halfway in the bed so there something needs to be done. Not an issue since I worked in the bar and got served by a polite bartender. The breakfast was not the ordinary gigantic buffet but it was well enough. It was quality before quantity here. Do not know but it had to be local suppliers, tastes really delicious.

The Avalon Hotel is nicely located in the center of Gothenburg. The hotel can be reached by foot from the central station, or by bus or tram. If you come from the airport using the airport bus it is also conveniently located from where the buses stop. The hotel has a boutique character, with very nice interior design, interesting rooms, and a different and nice design of the lobby and restaurant. The hotel also features a spectacular swimming pool at the top of the building. The rooms are nice and bright and are cleaned very well. The rooms are quiet and we couldn’t hear any neighbors. The staff is friendly and professional. There was no wait when we checked in and out. The food in the restaurant is very good, and so is the breakfast buffet. We will definitely come back.
