The rooms were a bit smaller than I expected and the door to the bathroom can cause quite a lot of noise at night. The bar and the restaurant were very good and the staff were super friendly. Breakfast buffet was also good but could use some more variety as it was the same thing everyday. Location is a bit far from the city there is a tram 5 minutes away from the hotel. I would return here :-)

The location is quite far from the city center. There is a tram stop nearby, which is 5 minutes by walk. The rooms are normal-sized and very comfortable. TV, Kettle and Coffee maker were good. The shower didn't have a curtain or a glass to prevent water from splashing outside. The whole bathroom floor gets wet which was bit inconvenient. Check-in and check-out processes were smooth and fast. The staff were friendly.

Our stay at Four Elements was super! I loved the quiet location by the water. Most of our time was spent in central Amsterdam, so there was a lot of time back and forth in the tram (about a 12 min walk). But there was a grocery store nearby for supplies, and a number of other restaurants and shops that weren't tourist-focused. The room was well appointed, but be aware that because this is an energy-conscious hotel, there is no refrigerator (they say they provide cold boxes upon request). But it was quiet, and even on the same floor as the bar, I slept sound. I'd stay here again!

Nice and clean hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast was average. Rooftop bar is cool for a drink. Parking is easy in the garage. Public transport to the city center is easy to reach. Only critical point for me was that the heating/air conditioner in the room did not work, plus the water temperature in the shower was low.
