280 reviewsIn the heart of Florence, this historic building, resembling a noble residence with Waldensian Church influences, offers an ideal setting for a socially responsible holiday in Tuscany. Linked to the Gould Institute since 1922, it accommodates socially disadvantaged youth. Initially designed for mild problems, the lodge now welcomes individuals with severe disabilities, contributing to their support through generated revenue. The funds help create a safe haven for children with challenging home lives, addressing all aspects of their well-being, from education to leisure time and psychological support, fostering their skills and ambitions.

This hotel was better than expected. The room was large and clean. The water pressure was not strong in the shower but the water was nice and hot. The location is excellent as it's quiet and you're still a ten minute walk into the main tourist area. There's a laundromat a block away. The wifi worked great and there was the option of an elevator. We got two single beds but pushed them together and that was totally fine.

This is a hotel with a purpose, with the revenues of this hotel, they support a "casa famiglia". If you are not into luxuries, this is a very clean place, in a excellent area and excellent customer service where you can stay and help those in need. Chapel for them.

Horrible welcome. Non helpful staff. Extremely tiny room and bathroom. No coffee machine no nothing. Feels like a convent cell. No car parking had to put mine in a private garage which costs a 24 hours stay. Location is fair. My 1st day. Can't wait to leave. Pitiful but i will surely enjoy Firenze and make the best of my stay despite this big disappointment.

It's a nice place to stay for few days to explore Florence. Our room was peaceful. Unfortunately you cannot access the garden and that was not told when we booked, which we were kind of really disappointed.
