Catalonia Hotels & Resorts was founded by the Vallet brothers, with its first hotel opening in 1983. Since then they have become one of the largest hotel chains in Spain and have set up 74 establishments in more than 20 different destinations. Occupying hotel space in some of the world’s most spectacular locations has led the family chain to take on a commitment to sustainable tourism and care for the people who run them. Also acknowledged for inclusive tourism, they eliminate barriers for people with disabilities. Partnering with FUNDEMAR, they initiated the "Vivero Coralino" project in the Caribbean, aiming to recover corals. This coral nursery has contributed over 1,500 meters of live coral, establishing itself as a highly reproductive site. Guests can now explore an underwater museum featuring statues immersed in Bayahíbe's seabed, promoting awareness of marine conservation.

Very beautiful hotel with amazing people in reception, thank you all! I stayed in one of street side windows, amazing vibe you can catch from windows. It feels like you are always outside having fun. Everything was really clean, beds are comfy. There is a nice gym as well, if you like to use. Location wise, it’s almost perfect as you can walk to plaza or Retiro, or Soho. You can find many restaurants nearby. I would wanna go back to this hotel.

Location was great, along a main street of Madrid but inside was lovely and quiet and peaceful. Clean, tidy, spotless everywhere around the hotel really, we went to the bar, jacuzzi and gym, so we got around the hotel a bit and it was clean everywhere. Staff were really friendly and gave us some really nice restaurant suggestions and ideas during our visit. The room was stunning, we had 2 doors opening out into the inner courtyard, lovely space. Big bed, plenty of space, and the bathroom was lovely, was a huge shower which we loved. Black out blinds were brilliant, had a lovely lie-in. Conveniently placed in the city, and a great bakery 2 doors up for orange juice and a pastry or chorizo baguette, really good. Would definitely stay again when back in the city.

Great Location, large clean rooms, helpful & friendly staff. We stayed here for 4 nights. The location is ideal - busy, but quieter than nearby roads/areas, and only a 5-15 minute walk to a lot of the key areas for food, sights, shopping, nightlife, bars, and general people watching. The staff were very polite and helpful, and the rooms was very clean. One minor gripe was the TV in the bar area playing 24 hour football (also with the sound clashing with the hotel music). It's a small area so you can't avoid the screen. I'd definitely recommend this hotel if you're exploring Madrid . I'll likely be staying there if I'm in Madrid again.

One of the best breakfast services I’ve had at a four star hotel, offering plenty of choice — including for vegans — and long hours (11am on weekdays, noon on weekends). There’s a coffee room and a small courtyard on the main floor; nice for relaxing. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is very well located, only short walks to El Parque de El Retiro and Plaza Mayor. A great place to stay.
