A magical dining experience from the moment we arrived! The location is so special and we were able to dinghy right to their dock for dinner. We started with lovely aperitifs and getting to know the guests on the terrace watching the moon appear beyond the jungle. Special arrangements were made for a table for two and 3 beautiful courses served in a perfectly timed fashion. The service was so good and professional but also very charming and kind. The manager introduced himself and really made us feel welcomed. The building is a work of wood art and every detail honors the beautiful nature of the Osa. A must to experience in Drake Bay!

We didn’t stay in the hotel but we’ve been several times during our stay at Bahia Drake. They make delicious smoothies (definitely recommend passion+mango and pineapple). The view is great, armchairs are super comfy. It’s peaceful and quiet and all the staff is very friendly and nice. Would definitely stay there next time.

While the location itself is good, the rooms were an absolute disappointment: Maybe it was bad luck, but our room wasn't well cleaned (cobwebs, dust and spiders everywhere), the furniture was dated, and we had streets of ants passing on the room walls at night. As with lots of places here, the room had no windows, only mosquito nets - but these had a lot of holes meaning insects could get in easily. The biggest problem in our view were the arguably pretty high ceilings, as they proved to be the home for a lot of geckos/ lizards who loved to drop their feces onto the beds below (pictures attached). We raised this with the staff in the hotel, but all that was done was that it was picked up from the bed - the bed sheets remained unchanged. We felt very uncomfortable, which truly is a shame as the restaurant staff was very friendly and the menu itself was outstanding every day. In addition, kayaks are up to rent for free, which was lovely to explore the river and beaches nearby (we even saw some monkeys on our way!). We hope that this review will help them to make adjustments, as we do believe in the potential of Aguila de Osa - until then, we would recommend not to book here.

The staff and meals were amazing. We felt so special, and felt like family. Fresh everything, and a beautiful setting too. Be prepared to climb a lot of stairs, but when you reach your room with those views it will be worth it
